Sparrmannia africana L.f.
Cape Stock-Rose - a popular sub-tropical plant from marshes in South Africa where it forms a small tree up to 6 m. Best in a conservatory where it can grow quickly and after about three years should flower with attractive white flowers with purple stamens. It can be pruned just before it s winter break. Cuttings will root easily.
Likes a bright spot (though it will stand some shade) with a temperature of about +15°C and no lower than +7°C in the winter months.
Water well, mist frequently and don t allow to dry out. Feed every few weeks. If the leaves turn yellow it is too hot and dry.
